Borbély-Nyakas Wine Duet Dinner

Our guests will have the opportunity to taste the wines produced by Borbély Family Winery and Nyakas Winery, two traditionalist wineries of the Etyek-Buda region.

 

 

Borbély Family Winery located in Badacsonytomaj was awarded the Master of Balaton Wines title in 2007. This historic wine region is rightly famous for its wines. In 1981, the Borbély family replanted the old family vineyard in Badacsonytomaj, which they received as a wedding present, then in 1996, the winery was reestablished on the land passed from father to son. Currently, the family owns a vineyard of 18 hectares. Their classic wines include Italian Riesling, Grey Monk, Muscat Ottonel, Tramini, Pinot Noir Rosé and Sheep’s Tail of Somló.


 

Nyakas Winery is located in a small settlement simply called as ”Tök” at the foot of the Nyakas Hill. The land was named after „Nyakas”, the foothills of the Gerecse Hills running across the basin. The soil of the Etyek-Buda wine region is rich in lime and minerals, its special microclimate is ideal for the production of white wines of unique taste and intense fragrance. The winery equipped with modern technology was established in 1997, and is run by Beáta Nyúlné Dr. Pühra. Due to the excellent conditions, the winery produces award-winning wines. In 2012, Nyakas was awarded the MagyarBrands Prize, which acknowledges the most outstanding Hungarian brands.

 

Along with the excellent wines, Gábor Kovács, secretary general of the Sommelier association and Ákos Kovács, director of ARAZ Restaurant recommend the unique menu created by Áron Barka, Chéf de Cuisine.
